Grant for Young Americans to go to Paris (Nuit blanche)
Each year, the Cultural Services Department of the French Embassy in the U.S. offers Youth International Meetings grants (Rencontres Internationales de Jeunes – RIJ), giving young Americans the opportunity to spend 9 to 15 days in France.
This year, the Consulate of France in Houston offers a trip to Paris on the occasion of La Nuit Blanche from September 28 to October 3, 2010 in Paris. The grant covers all costs (activities, accommodation, meals, airfare...).

Teaching French to kids
As demonstrated in a recent study from the European Commission, the learning of a foreign language starts at an earlier age.
